The Pre-licensing class can be taken either in a classroom or through distance learning/virtual classes. If you opt for the classroom version, then you will receive a MV-278 Prelicensing Certificate of Completion. No matter which version you decide to study each course follows the same curriculum content. Once you successfully complete your course, the instructor will notify the DMV automatically and you won't need to show an official certificate when taking your driver's test.
